About N.U.R.D.

N.U.R.D. is a weekly radio show on 89.3 FM WNUR every Sunday afternoon.  We produce scripts written by Northwestern students past and present.  When the group began we only produced scripts written in the 1950s and 40s. We still do these old scripts from time to time but our focus is more on current sketch comedy and full-length (30 minute) scripts.

Last October two of our producers went to the Collegiate Broadcasters, Inc. convention in Kansas City and won the “Best Regularly Schedule Program” award. The show submitted for this award was a murder mystery set in a dorm.  Listen to it by clicking on “Blizzard’s Fall Part One” and “Blizzard’s Fall Part Two” on the Audio page.

"Blizzard's Fall" also recently won the 2005 BEA Festival of Media Arts
Student Audio Competition.

We are proud to announce that N.U.R.D. has continued its winning streak, by winning the 2006 "Best Regularly Scheduled Program" award from Collegiate Broadcasters, Inc. for our archive show, "Peace Lovin' Citizen."
