Lotus Beat goes on air every Saturday and Sunday afternoons on WNUR 89.3 FM in the Chicagoland area, and online live all over the world through RealPlayer and Windows Media Player. To listen to our online broadcast, visit WNUR's website (http://www.wnur.org) and click on either the RealAudio or WindowsMedia button found on the top right corner.

Lotus Beat brings in a flavor of international news, music, culture and heritage of the South Asia, in languages including Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu, Tamil, Telegu, Nepali, and more. The variety of our music spans many genres, including classical, modern, and of course, music created by the very popular Indian film industry, known as Bollywood.

All of our DJ's are student volunteers and are free to determine both the content and the theme of their shows. We are a group of socially conscious individuals and play content that is eclectic, close to our soul and uncontaminated by commercial influence.
