Chicago is a storyteller's city and Make is the story's magazine. Full of fiction, poetry, essays, and photography, Make is substantial in both feel and scope. Make expands on the Chicago tradition to entertain and to inform. When readers open Make, they find writing that reflects their own lives as well as the lives of their neighbors.

The quarterly magazine features a series of short-fiction pieces, poetry, photography, and a nonfiction section, which includes interviews, genre reviews, essays, and editorials. We sponsor author readings, short plays, and live music events in the Chicago area.
