12.04.05: GUY DEUTSCHER

Guy Deutscher studied mathematics and earned a Ph.D. in linguistics at the University of Cambridge. He was a research fellow at St John's College, Cambridge, and is now in the Department of Languages and Cultures of Ancient Mesopotamia at the University of Leiden in Holland. He has written for The Times and the New York Times.

The Unfolding of Language is his second book.
