NEWS:

We've got an excellent, busy week for you on Chicago's Sound Experiment.  Make sure you tune in to these great special shows.

On Monday, Sept. 20, Cleveland/NYC group Birth (Joshua Smith, Jeremy Bleich, Joe Tomino) and Aram Shelton from Grey Ghost will be stopping by to chat at about 9:30am.  Birth and Grey Ghost share the evening at Rodan Monday night.

On Wednesday, Sept. 22 at about 11:30am, guitarist Scott Fields will be joining us to talk about two great new releases he has coming out.  The first is Christangelfox from 482 Music which you may have heard quite a bit on WNUR recently and the second is Song Songs Song from Delmark, a duo recording with Chicago guitarist Jeff Parker.

Also, this weekend (sep. 24&25) WNUR and Delmark records are presenting Ernest Dawkins' New Horizons Ensemble live in concert at the Green Mill for the release of the band's new album Mean Ameen.  Dawkins will be joined by Maurice Brown, Jeff Parker, Darius Savage, Isiah Spencer and Steve Berry.  Don't miss these shows!  Dawkins might also be stopping by the studio this week, so listen for that as well.

Finally, following the jazz show this week on the Continental Drift show (12:30-2:00pm CST) we'll be broadcasting  live from the World Music Festival in Chicago so make sure you stay tuned in for that also.
