NEWS
- Sorry, no jazz report last week. This week's chart covers two
weeks' worth of airplay. Adds will return next week. I was busy
with...
- ...our annual fundraiser. The jazz show and the station as a
whole were quite successful overall, jazz raising about 10% of the
station total of about $30,000. Many thanks both to individuals who
donated and to record companies who helped us out with premiums. If
you are a listener and didn't get the chance to call in and donate
last week, we'd still be happy to take your pledge by E-mail, and many
good premiums are still available -- ask for a list.
- The duo of Matthew Shipp (piano) and William Parker (bass)
performed live on WNUR (on our Saturday afternoon local music show
Airplay) this past weekend prior to their concert at Unity Temple in
Oak Park.
