Until someone gives us more scholarly info for this page, at least one correlation between Hip-Hop and Jazz is the genre of music often referred to as "Acid Jazz". Some of what is called "Acid Jazz" has more to do with funk and soul than hip-hop, but of course, all of these are closely interrelated.
