Coming Up On the February 10th Folk Show Guest DJ Julie Rivera joins us. Julie donated to WNUR's phoneathon last February and picked the guest DJ premium. Julie will be playing sets that she selected on today's show. You can donate this year and pick a guest with the DJ slot, two weeks from today on Sunday February 24th at 10am.
In our second hour, we'll play an interview that we pre-recorded with emerging singer-songwriter Antje Duvekot at the WFMT Studios on the set of WFMT's Folkstage program hosted by Rich Warren

Guests galore on the January 20th Folk Show In the 10:00 hour will visit with Jules Eberhardt and Eddie Holstein to talk about the new album - Fred Holstein Live at the Earl of Old Town.

Then in our second hour will visit with Folk legend Jim Post. Jim plays on Sunday 1/20 at 7pm at Bill's Blues in Evanston.

We'll be on an extra 40 minutes tomorrow until 12:40 due to WNUR Sports programming that will pre-empt the Blues Show.

Folk Show Marathon 5/27/07 - Sort of Ron Lewis will be filling in for the Gospel Show between 8-10am. He'll start with a continuation of the freeform format that precedes the Gospel show and then he'll slowly transition into folk. Kathy Kelly then arrives at 10am for the official Folk Show.
It's Flashback Weekend so we'll be playing a lot of tunes that were recorded before 1987.

David Massengill on the Folk Show - Sunday April 29th Tune in on Sunday April 29th at 10am for our next show. Sue Kessell welcomes singer-songwriter David Massengill for some talk and music in our 11:00 hour. David will be the first musician performing on the Folk Show at the brand new WNUR studios in Louis Hall on Northwestern's Evanston campus.
David plays Saturday evening 4/28 at 7:30 in Lombard at the Maple Street Chapel Concert series and he plays locally at Bills Blues on Sunday evening 4/29 at 7pm
