“Playing Golf (With My Flesh Crawling)” 45rpm Single (Fresh Records, 1979)

Happy Halloween listeners! Here’s a spooky track from (former) Freeform DJ and station Operations Manager Monica Yi:

The sporadic existence of Family Fodder began in 1979, with composer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Alig Pearce experimenting with tapes in a basement somewhere in London. The group’s sound takes energetic cues from concrète and psychedelia, blending noise from tape samples, dub mixing and chopped location recordings. “Playing Golf” shows the early intimations of Fodder’s rare form of inspired and hilariously morbid electronic post-punk.

Hey, don't be a jerk on the internet.
