Today’s Track of the Day comes from French synth-pop duo Deux. The band put out a few sporadic single/EP releases through the ’80s, but it wasn’t until 2010′s Decadence, put out on Minimal Wave Records, that much of the band’s discography became accessible to the lay-listener. All of the tracks on the compilation were recorded between 1982 and 1985, and they even went to the trouble of remastering some of the group’s demos for inclusion. This particular track, “Décadence,” really shows off the interplay between members Cati Tete and Gérard Pelletier—although maybe I’m just a sucker for co-ed synth-pop acts. If you dug this, that Minimal Wave comp is pretty excellent all-around, so check it out.
