DAT Politics is an electronic pop band based in Lille, France. The group formed in 1999, with its roots in the recording project Tone Rec. It has undergone several lineup changes since then, with only Claud Pailliot and Gaëtan Collet providing continuity over the group’s seven albums. Though they make music with laptops, DAT Politics emphasize unpredictability and playfulness in their music, likening their approach to songwriting and performing to that of a garage band.

“Food” comes from 2002’s Plugs Plus, the band’s fourth album, released on Chicks On Speed Records. Released last November was the digital EP People R Inside, which features remixes by Kap Bambino and Yacht.
