WNUR Alumni-Student Gathering

It was the start of a new tradition. The WNUR Alumni Organization and the WNUR Student Exec Board held our first Staff and Alumni Spring Gathering in the Norris Center (5/19/02). It was an informal afternoon of memories, talk, and shared experiences.

The event drew about 30 people to the Norris Center yesterday for snacks, pizza, and a wide-ranging discussion that covered everything from what the alums did as students at WNUR, to the role that the Alumni Organization can play in the life of the station.

A major concern of the student management is the projected cost burden that a proposed federal copyright office fee schedule would have on WNUR's ability to continue its worldwide webcasting with five streaming audio channels.

Alumni Organization President Steve Rudolph promised the station management that he would circulate a letter from the station's executive Board to alumni Governing Board members for suggestions and recommendations.
