WNUR Alumni Organization
Provisional Executive Council
Minutes of Meeting - September 25, 2000
In attendance:
Those present called the meeting to order at
7:30 p.m.
Officers, Board and Committee Chairs --
In Formation
Mark Goldman has been contacting those
listed as potential nominees to the board.
His report as to who has accepted and who has declined their
nomination is not quite ready. Based on his report, the
provisional board will finalize the slate of nominees for
officers and committee chairs.
Voting
When the list of nominees is finalized, it
will be posted on the website. Everyone in the WNUR Alumni
Organization (for whom an e-mail address is on file) will
receive notification that the list has been posted. Voting
will be handled by e-mail.

Proposal: Student/Alumni Get Together
There has been a proposal for a
student/alumni social event some time during the Fall Quarter
2000.
Those present agreed that such an event
would be of high value. The concept will be referred to the
appropriate committee chair for consideration and later
scheduling.
Old Business
Membership dues: Steve reported that
only one comment has been received on the idea of membership
dues. The comment came from Ken Ollweiler ("Kurtis")
who indicated he was opposed to the concept.
Dues could be used to pay for social events
or funding memorial prizes, according to Steve. If we don't use
dues, we could fund these programs via donations or fees.
Based on input so far, the membership dues
idea was rejected.
Next Meeting
Next meeting is Monday, Oct. 23 at 7:00 p.m. The meeting will be
held in Annie Mae Swift Hall, Room 100 on the Northwestern
University Campus. Dinner will be included.
